Default program for potential photshop buyers

I found this while browsing a computer shopper magazine at work today. Its a free alternative to photoshop and I'm pretty impressed so far. http://gimp.org/ Maybe this will save some of you the $650. It lacks a few features, but nothing so major to mention as of yet.

I've been using gimp for a long time now. Take a while to get used to, even if you're a veteran photoshopper, but it does all the same stuff once you get used to it. I'm all about open source, so I fully reccomend at least trying it. I mean, hey, it's free... why not?
