If you're planning to transfer it may cause you problems depending on the school you want to go to. If you're in a degree program right now then it probably won't matter, I've never been asked for my GPA at a job interview. In a highly competetive field I suppose it could come into play, but I don't think criminal justice is one of those jobs that only needs one or two guys

I would work on getting the GPA higher, though. If we considered GPAs when hiring new designers a GPA like that may get them put into the "no thanks" pile.

well i plan on being a police officer and with them as long as you have a 2.0 gpa, they have nothing 2 say, but its for my own peace of mind that i want to go good and i think i got screwed this semester by one or two professors [:@]

my first semester gpa at Auburn University was a 0.719 i partied a whole whole lot, obviously. i had a 3.5 throughout highschool and made a 27 on my ACT. i'm smart, i just partied way too much.

that gpa won't be too hard to get above a 3.0, so you are doing fine, i would say. oh and take as many gpa-boosting classes as possible (athletics, theater, etc) those will help a whole lot.

relax.... its college not high school. That is an ok GPA and it is only your first semester. You should now know what you need to do to improve and do not be discourage. Find your weakness and work on that and if you have poor study skill then work on that as well.

Do not be intimidated by those who get 4.0 or better gpa than yours. Bill Gate dropped out and now his college mates are painting his garage.

Lol, I had an Indian math teacher at the JC I went to and I didn't understand a word he said. I barely got a C in that class (in TRIG!).
