I dont know a lot about the problems that they had BUT they are desireable, semi fast cars and easy to modify with the K20 motors that they came with so if someone owns own then they are very unlikely to sell it.

I'd say go for any of the EP3's you could get (02-05). You might have to settle for an 02 model with higher milage but overall they are virtually the same, not exactly but very close.

Also the Acura RSX Type S or its Honda twin (blanking on the name of the Honda model) are very nice equivalents, so to speak. Maybe think about one of them too?

It doesn't have a Honda twin; it was a direct continuation of the Acura Integra line. Actually, in Japan, it's still referred to as the Honda Integra.

I think you're probably thinking of the Prelude, though. I know the Acura TSX and Honda Accord are sister cars, but I don't believe the RSX/RSX-S has a sister car.

As far as the EP3 goes, they're just kind of rare compared to most civics. They don't have any problems, and the only downside to having one is the fact that Honda put the less potent K20a3 in it compared to the RSX-S' K20a2 and a 5-speed compared to the RSX-S' 6-speed (though the 6-speed is notorious for the 3rd gear grind). Actually, now that I think about it, kenny, you're probably thinking of the EP3 being the RSX-S' sister car; the EP3 and base model RSX are essentially the same minus once you take away looks. If it's of any interest, parts (transmissions included) are interchangeable between the K20a2 and K20a3; so you could swap an a2 head/intake manifold and 6-speed into an EP3 and have a makeshift RSX-S drivetrain.

Well thats what i meant/was talking about...sorry lol

Basically OP just look for any year EP3 if thats what you really want. Theyre all reliable and very nice cars that have the desirable K20 motor (maybe not the better of the two K20's but still wanted).

Or watch for a nice Acura RSX-S

ep3's are usually very overpriced, but if you can get one for a good deal, i would definatly snag it up! GLWP!

You can find a 02 Si for < $9,000! Thats prety good if u ask me. Granted it would have more miles but not a ton more prolly. It just depends on what you can find.
