i agree it wasnt obscene but it was mildly disturbing, thats why i asked wtf it was in the first place, just wanted to know. I wouldnt call that "art" "emo" i would call it "****ed up in the head" but then again thats just my opinion.

thats the rule and it could very well fall under the broad definition of vulgar.

Trent is very capable of making educated decisions by himself, just because it was not the answer you were looking for doesnt mean it wasnt the correct answer. The masses are more powerful than the individual.

 

Seriously, my boss would have freaked out if he saw your sig, and I'm mostly on from work. That was not work safe and that's damn near everything that needs to be said about it.

 

One thing that I will say because I've been watching the forums is when one of the mods doesn't like someone it somehow spreads to the other mods and then that person gets treated like dirt.

It's not really fair to the other members that you guys do this. I sit back and watch this stuff go on, and notice that you guys gang up on people and do worse stuff then they were ever doing. Just because you guys are moderators and nobody's above your heads to ban or boot you does give you the power to do this stuff to people.

I think he had every right to start this thread to bring this to the attention of the other people on the forum since no mod will do anything cause they're all on each others side. You guys kinda rule this place like a gang of bullies.

 

The problem is lowlife's acting like a douche about it. Had he changed his sig/avi when asked politely by Trent, there'd have been no problem. At that point, no other mods knew about the complaints against lowlife's sig/avi. The thing is, rather than comply, lowlife decided to complain about it without changing his sig/avi. Trent changed them and told lowlife to change them to something he found a little more suitable. That's pretty much where this whole thread started.

If you haven't noticed (which I'm sure you haven't, because I wouldn't have had to type that first paragraph had you read the thread), I've already said that I never saw the original sig/avi; I merely stated my opinion of lowlife's handling of the whole situation. I'm not "ganging up on him" about his sig/avi, I'm telling him to stop complaining about it or just leave. Take a second and read the original post:

Would you respond by babying him and begging him to stay on hcf? Or would you more or less tell him to stop complaining or leave?

Also, notice he said "ive been told"... meaning at this point, Trent had simply asked him to change his sig/avi. The reason this whole mess started is lowlife overreacted and made this thread. Once again, had he simply changed them and moved on like a sensible person, this would've never happened.

 

I saw nothing wrong with his ava/sig. But I admit I'm not a mod, but I kinda agree you guys act immature about stuff.

And if you did read what I said, it said it gets spread to the other mods and they jump on the bandwagon. I find it unfair that you guys team up again anybody that you guys don't find "cool" in your book.

 

No offense to the staff, but that's the way all forums work, it's just the way it is.

 

Yeah and I understand that, and it kinda sucks. But what can you do, just deal with it. I'm just pointing out since I've been noticing you guys just team up on anyone one of you guys don't like.

 

Mohawk, if you haven't noticed, I said more or less exactly what I say to everyone who creates a drama thread about them leaving. The only member I didn't do that to was Marty. I'm not "teaming up" on anyone, I'm being my normal a**hole self

 

Yeah I did notice this. But I'll stand up for anyone who's getting singled out just for the fact anyone else who does backs down cause they don't wanna go against the mods or get thrown out of the "cool" group.

I've already been singled out in this forum and made fun of so I don't really care, but I don't like seeing others having the same done to them. The only reason Marty left what cause of things like this going on.

 

trust me, if you want to be on the receiving end of quite a bit of hatred, become a forum mod. I've been a mod for what, 6 months now? I've gotten one positive pm, and that was after the guy calmed down (after b****ing me out about locking his thread). I've gotten more hate pm's than you could imagine. The problem is that nothing (and I mean that quite literally) us mods do will be seen as "right" in the eyes of the general public. How long do you think the forum would last without us moderating it? Do you realize how many postwhores, trolls, and flamers are banned on a weekly basis? We might be a**holes about it, but I'll tell you exactly why we are. It's the same reason most people get annoyed when people ask repetitive questions like "what's better, CAI or SRI?"... we simply get annoyed at the same thing happening day in and day out.
