Reasons to wear LEATHERS on a motorcycle

Pics of what WAS my bike.
Pics of the road rash and such.
..The pics are kinda.. nasty. So only got if you are willing to see such photos.
And, for the photoshoot of me on the bike, i took of my helmet. It went right back on after the photo session. Two hours after that, I went down, again. This time the bikes not coming back. It's toast. Ended up in a ditch, hardcore style. Bah.

o ya road rash is no joke. hell i wrecked my old tiny pocket bike and chewed up my palm and knee really bad then i sold that turd.LOL
i see people around here riding without helmets and only tshirts and i just shrug my head... theres to many stupid people out here that think they are invincible on a bike i guess.
theres only afew bikers ive seen that wear the body armor clothing and helmet.
ive thought of getting a bike before but i decided there are to many stupid people out on the road and id rather not get ran over by some stupid women on a cell phone or puting on makeup!

fixed.
That sucks, man... hope your recovery goes well. I still have scars on my right arm, both wrists, both hands, and both legs from laying down a bike a few months back. Of course, the one time I ride without full gear on, the back comes out from under me in a hard lean >=/

Its a 2004 Triumph Sprint 955.
I usually have on boots and racing leathers with the re-enforced arms and back. Not this ride. I had on slip on shoes, which flew far far away, and everything in the photo's on +helmet.
No, no skin graphs. No wild help. The ER treated me ... kinda. They took X-rays and put some crappy bandages on me and sent me home. My roomie is a certified nurse for the U.S. Army. When she saw me after the E.R. she about shat a brick. I still had rocks in me, still had and HAVE tar in my skin. We have spent the last week fixing me back up. I'm not to 100% yet, but i'm getting close. The one on my side sucks the worst. Having tar from the road stuck in ya just b l o w s. =\
Wow kanarrjl - down to your bones? How fast were ya going? I guess now is when I have to admit my moronic speed of 120ish. Wasnt paying attention to speed. Speed felt good, and no one around. Figured I'd be alright. THEN there was a sudden left turn over this hill. Didn't really have proper time to prep the turn. Got MOST of the way... and there she went.
Every time I see a person with no helmet, I try to get stuck at a light with them and tell them how sexy their helmet is. And I wonder how is breaks apart on asphalt. They laugh until I ask that question. =P

Yeah I see a lot of people pulling that sort of thing around by me too. I guess people like to take full advantage of the no helmet laws in Illinois.
