Well he did blatently lie to the American people. Do you remember when Colin Powell went to the U.N. and shook a vial of Anthrax and said Saddam has a **** load of this laying around? Don't forget that Bush did scare the American people into this war.
Yeah, this lie was so visible, the whole world was laughing. Major problem as I see it was that the majority of American people wanted to believe this outright lie!

What I meant is that average person (myself included) rarely approaches revenge with the cold mind.

I'll just say this, the government does not represent what the American publics opinions, actions, or mind set. The government is overran with theifs, liars, and greedy'ness and not all of us are like that, hellthe majority of us are not.

the U.S. government is not a true democracy. It's supposed to be a "representative democracy."

we vote in our representatives and they vote on legislation for us.

the only real democracy left in the u.s. is in the northeast, where townships and villages still have the "one man, one vote" system for municipal matters.

if we did that nationwide, it would take forever to get a bill passed... :-P
