i think we all can sit back and analyze the situation but its doing no good. it doesnt matter who the president was during this time but take into account all that bush has been through with the war and 9-11 and ask your self do you honestly think you could have done a better job? who ever the president may have been, democrat republican or what ever, they would have been given a hard time for the decisions they made during these last few years. there is no easy way out of the things that have happened but its part of history now and there is no way to change it so i think we should respect our government for what they do whether you think it was the right decision or not. there is no way we could do what they do on a daily basis. sorry to ramble on but maybe we should sit back and look at what we have and be thankful we can get out and about without someone blowing up a car in our face. idk just my opinion.
You are a tool.

The execution was somewhat of a disgrace. The Iraqis agreed to execute him and that he would be treated according to the Geneva Convention. He wasn't. He was tortured and tormented. There's was no justice in that.
Saddam needed to be held accountable, but not like that.

who cares how he was executed? being executed means you are going to die... it shouldn't matter how badly you're tortured, how painful the death is or any of that... he won't be able to remember it after he's dead, so its not that big of a deal.

the only real democracy left in the u.s. is in the northeast, where townships and villages still have the "one man, one vote" system for municipal matters.

umm, No. Real democracy = mob rule. Most western societies are rather socialistic.

Precisely

you must understand that he was hanged for crimes agains the humanity. If people that convicted him are against those kind of crimes, then why did they treat him like a dog? Like it or not, but he was the highest ranking official of Iraq and a human being. He deserved to be treated as such.

If we assume the existence of soul, then it matters... Even if we don't, following your logic yeilds some interesting results - we all die in the end, so cruelty and suffering do not matter at all since it would not be remembered after death... I know religions that came to similar conclusions (for a different reasons, though), but they do not belong to christianity...

Probably the same reason why animal activists complain about the way animals are slaughtered. While some1 dies, the person will feel pain and the pain will differ by the way of execution.

Saddam died instantly, his death should have been slow.
