Hey fellas, first off im glad to say that this is a pretty tight nit group so im going to pass on some info that could protect you. there's a scammer in the 240sx or nissan world that has been going at it for acouple of years now, stealing thousands of dollars from hardworking enthusiast. he primarely works w/ Nissans, but ive found sites where he's tried to scam 3000gt guys as well. who knows if he'd hit all enthusiast forums.

i recently fell for this scam as well for a motor for my 240. anyways he goes by "David Darby" or "Cameron Miller". if you have any friends that have been scammed from this a$$, please pm me w/ any info.

this is also a good warning to put out there. the guy works by Western Union payments, and is in Ohio or there abouts.

I may have been scammed, but i won't give up that easy. this type of person needs to be locked away for a long time.

if any, please help and or tell a friend. i thought i'd pass it on to you guys cause all of you are good people, and we have a great forum here.

 

that sucks, and I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure you can do more about it with law enforcement though, I think there's a website you can go to, to report a scamming.

 

go to the fbi.. they will investigate it...

 

THe better business beauro (sp) will be better. However, we are aware of a Nissan scammer. If you could PM me his IP address if you got it so I may be able to find out if hes registered here. Thanks.

 

so what exactly does he do? yeah he scams but what are his methods and what does he get out of it?

 

He has done been caught here and I myself with the help of another HCF member got him taken down on another honda forum. We do good on scammers around here, we are a bit **** about the classifieds so me along with like 3/4 other mods along with our regular member base keep a good eye out.

Thank you for your warning and I am sorry about what happened to you, I honestly think that a majority of forums should try and work together behind the scenes to put people like this out of commision.

 

thats alot of forums.. but i think there should be a better division of the fbi that deals with that.. cause right now they dont care.. and probably half the scams are funding terrorists

 

yup i lost 1400 summer 05, fbi told me they couldnt' help unless its over ten thousand dollars. and local's wouldn't do jack either.

 

the fbi is stupid.. its like.. hello 1000 here 100 there.. they will have a srm soon enough.. heck for an extra probably 5gs u could throw on the nuclear package im sure.. on the black market.. which really sucks.. id hate to be alive when the world decides it needs to start a new war
