Scratch another up for JDMs!!!
Rearended a '04 Dodge Stratus yesterday (also my birthday!) Mashed up her left rear quarterpanel pretty good...No damage whatsoever to my '96 Civic...Only a few scratches, no body damage or anything. Hit her good!!! (By the way...Her fault, she flipped a left-hand U-turn from the right lane; I was in the left lane.)
I am letting my insurance company figure out what they want to do. Since I'm gonna be putting a new bumper and hood on later, I'm not that concerned about it. I'm more worried about having to pay for the other car's damage, but seeing as it wasn't my fault, there's little I have to worry about. I checked everything out though, and my bumper isn't cracked, all the clips/screws/bolts are secure, and the only things I can find are those scratches, and even those aren't deep.

i dunno, as far as i've heard, any time you rear end someone its considered by a court to be your fault because they believe you were the one driving too closely

You read it right civtegra. It was a two lane road, I was in the left, she was in the right, and she turned to do a left hand U-ey, I guess not even knowing I was there??? She didn't look like she was all there when she was relating her story anyway, but no ticket was cited to either of us because of conflicting stories. She'll probably take me to court over it...I just wish it was a bigger town so it had a camera somewhere nearby.
