Default Snowmobiles with titles?

I'm embarassed that I don't know this, but when you buy and finance a snowmobile, does the financing company have a title for it? I need to sell my sled but I don't think my financing company has a title for it, and I'm wondering if I can list it on ebay without having to get the title released.

When I bought my raptor, I got NO notice of any kind of title being issued, and not with my arctic cat either, and I wouldn't think a vehicle that never sees public roads would need a title???

I've never sold a recreational vehicle before...

good queston. prefect place to find out is either the place you bought it from or the DMV. or call the financing company. always better to be safe than sorry.

I think if its over 50cc you have to have a title... im not sure though.

There shouldnt be anything stopping you from listing it on ebay though.

There is if I sell it for less than I owe (and I owe $200 more than it's worth, and chances are I won't be able to get what it's worth on ebay) and if I couldn't make up the difference. I was hoping that it wasn't titled so I could just use a bill of sale.

Looks like this is going to be more complicated than I thought.

Payments suck. I avoid them at all costs. I am proudly dept free. I dont have a credit card to my name nor get offers.

Yeah, and snowmobiles depreciate so damn fast...

How old are you? That's going to bite you in the *** when you go to buy a house unless you already own one.

Your sled will have a title as will your quad.
