subaru WRX
actually they are all Impreza's, the STi being the bigger turbo, the regualr WRX being the smaller turbo, and then the 2.5 RS non turbo Impreza.
If you go into a parts store and get one of the pimpeled faced kids who dont anything about anything and you tell them you need brake pads for a 02 WRX they'll say to you there is no such thing as a Subaru WRX because they dont realize a WRX is a version of the impreza

yeah thx for all the replies. i found the car for about 10k with 50k miles on it, the guy gave me a card and told me to give him a call if im interested. he seemed like he might let me take it out for a test drive...but maybe not. im gunna call him tonight...and if he doesnt let me i'll ask if i can drive my friends. thx for all the feedback...cant wait
oh yeah, how about the new mitsubishi eclipse? my friends dads girl has one (GT; 3.6L V6, auto tranny) and she lets my friend drive it every once in a while. he doesnt let me drive it, i have to ask her personally apparently. i'll get some pictures next time hes over with it.

personally...i would never, ever buy a used subaru. you might wanna question why the price is only 10k. my boyfriend bought a used 97 2.5 gt legacy with 89k miles, and the thing is a money pit. had the head gaskets replaced a little before 100k miles, the auto transmission has issues shifting, the car won't accelerate properly, the electrical system is a nightmare.
in my humble opinion, i believe that subaru has to be one of the worst "japanese" car companies around. especially since they are now part GM. i'm sure the wrxs are a blast to drive, but 50-60k miles down the road, u might start finding a lot of problems. you might be ok if you bought a brand spankin new one, but that gets pretty expensive. i just know i'd never buy a used soob with the way people around here (colorado) drive them. i guess my advice: buyer beware. 1) it most definately is not staying stock and will have lots of work done on it anyway...and if i get it i will deffinately buy another civic within three or four years
2) ive had my car since i first got my level 1 (about a year and a half ago) and have put maybe 12k miles on it...i'll be hard pressed to put 50k+ miles on the WRX before it becomes a track day car.
3) AWD man!!! (er...woman in this case
)

Even though they are both Imprezzzzzzas they are still totally different.
The suspension, the brakes, the chassis stiffining, the engine, the turbo. Dont be fooled but the Imprezzzzzza part all matching.
Oh yeah, I heard the new eclipse tips the scale at a lil of 3600 hundy lbs
