lol, sounds like hurricanes in FL... as long as it's not a crazy powerful one me and my friends would go outside and walk around... there's so much rain it feels like swimming. Though, we haven't had one in the area in quite a while

Get hit when your sleeping? Your crazy. We have some damn good weathermen, and this lovely invention called tornado sirens.

lol, true. When I lived in Puerto Rico we got hit by a hurricane. My super intelligent father had us all go out during the calm of the eye. Bish had me cleaning up, KNOWING its going to get more fk'd up in a minute. What an ***-hat.

But at least with hurricanes you have a pretty good warning. Tornados can pop up any time with little to no warning. We just tell an entire county to take shelter.

Where in OKC do you live? I used to live off SW 104th in Southridge, just east of the airport.

Near Lake Draper. 30 minutes from the city folk. lol. I'm a few steps away from being in Norman. lol.

And josh - the little to no warning is when it comes down. When the weather gets bad, you turn on the TV. The TV has people whom tell you what areas are looking bad and where the rotation is. Why do you think we have very few deaths related to tornadoes?
What gets me is the people who take shelter. If I see that rotation is coming my direction, I get in the truck and head south. Our storms always travel from the west to east, usually in a slight northern pattern. Some think its dumb, but they are the dumb ones. On the may 3rd tornado I used this technique and got to watch the twister hit the area I was just in 20 -30 minutes before.
