Default There REALLY was a light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Today I got the civic in running shape, it idles nicely (prolly a tad rich) and took it for a test drive, I didn't push it too much since I'm "Shooting in the dark" w/ my A/F but it seemed to run smoothly, still have a slight problem w/ throttle but I believe that is due to the SAFC2 still learning the throttle. Monday I am taking the car to get an O2 bung welded in for my AEM UEGO and I'll do my best to "tune" it. I'm also going to replace that extender piece w/ a shorter one, I'm certain that will help. As for gains... it's been about 8 months since I last drove it so I really couldn't tell you how much, but I can certainly feel a gain in the mid range, and the high seems a lil sluggish atm.

Called the local shop about thier dyno, it's not going to be ready untill the end of July begining of August, so at least that will give me some time to save up for a couple hours.

As for the write up, I've been working on it here and there but didn't get very far bc I wanted the car in running shape for use as a DD before I finished it. I start back to school on Monday also, and I need to pick up a job so be patient. I will say this; I'm going to do the write for the OEM manifold, and I'll mention what I had to do to get the Skunk2 to fit; but I STRONGLY suggest against it, especially if you ever plan on selling your car or you don't have a "good" *wink*wink* mechanic. I also want the write up to be very easy to follow, step by step, no guess work. I am also struggling to get my pool open for the summer (that's for another thread), so again please be patient I will do my best to have the write up done by the middle of July.

Are you gonna do a write up about hooking up an AEM EMS and general stuff about EMS? I think that would be very helpful.

Pete I really think you happened to get a bad manifold, I had no problems, no whistles, I did have a problem w/ gaskets but I fixed that by making my own outta cork and using a lil silicon to ensure no leaks.
