Question...
What was your set up on your car? I keep reading how beastly it was and all this, but I never heard anything about the car.

Wow to this thread, just read all 12 pages haha

Sorry to hear your car is gone, or that it was even stolen in the first place, and i'm not even going to comment on the death of the driver.

Was a simple setup. Little 350 on MSD ignition. 350Turbo trans. Rearend came from a 96 corvette I believe. Could have the year wrong. Ran the shocks to the tube chass.
The gearing in the rearend didn't really work well with my setup. Was going to rip it out. Step dad said to get 3:10 rear. Had hooker headers ran to 6inch glasspacks. Ran duals, exiting right before the tires. Hung them just low enough for you to kinda see um. Wouldn't notice them unless you knew they were there.
Used some thin gauge metal in replacement of the SI cluster. Got the speedo, the tach and fuel level in there. Was able to still cover with the factory cover. Had temp and oil and volt just atop the radio, on its own bracket. Didn't look too good, but was just temp. Was going to put in the Apillar. Signals had to be ran to toggle switches.

Jesus... I bet that thing was retarded-ly fast.
My dads 79 camaro has a 350 in it and I damn near shiit myself when I drive it. I couldn't imagine that in a way lighter car.

I look at it this way, He had a choice to decide to steal the car, he did, no one made him, he had a choice as to how to drive, and he drove like an idiot, i feel bad that someone died, but this is no ones fault but his own, he made the choice to be a thief often thieves die in their line of "work" he knew the risks he took and took them anyway. He could have just walked away before he did anything, his choice, his luck ran out.

I never said it was anyone elses fault. I totally agree, it was his fault he died, but he did not deserve to die.

It's not a question of whether he deserved it or not. He took a chance... chance does not pass judgement, it just happens.

what if he had been the one who had hit that van and killed his mom? just be glad he didn't hit anyone else, people who do this kind of stuff have zero respect for others lives, if they had any, they wouldn't be out driving like they have nothing to live for. They may not,but the person who they hit may have a lot.
