Default Ticket Trouble

so today I got pulled over by the cops, for doing a rolling stop onto a highway merge. I didnt see the car coming down the road, so she pulled me over, the fine was $172! This sucks, do you guys think it will affect my insurance much?(first ticket for anything, two years driving) Also if anyone wants to share their worst ticket I am glad to read about it, lol.

Since when in the hell did you need to stop on a highway merge? Was there a stop sign?!

Highway merge is yeild only, in other words you don't need to stop by any means.

girls cops at the worst.....but i feel for ya man, tickets suck for sure

i've got 2 speeding tickets and 2 parking tickets and my insurance hasnt gone up at all haha unless the insurance agency is like scanning/checking every single person who they insure's record, they're not gonna raise your $$. Unless of course you're unlucky and they check your sh*t, but maybe you'll get lucky like me

I don't understand what the ticket was for. Why would you do a stop at a merge?

careless/reckless driving tickets are no joke. I got one 2 years ago for doing donuts in the parking lot. It was like $300 and 2pts (should have been 4, but they reduced it).

To the OP: unless there was a stop sign - it sounds like a BS ticket. I would contest it in court. You shouldn't get any point for it in any case.
