hes talking about a highway merge, not a freeway merge, at least thats what I take from it. Yea most highway merges either have yeild signs but many also have stop signs.

I got pulled over for 50 in a 30, cop let me off with 49 in a 30 which was a 101 dollar ticket instead of a 400 dollar ticket

Don't you have the option of going to traffic school? Here in Tucson you have the option of going to traffic school every two years. You will usually find me spending a Saturday every two years sitting in some dumb class to erase that ticket from my record.

Best ticket story? Well, was running super late to work one night (at 1am), my windows were frosted over and I could hardly see, but was speeding, ran a red light and made an improper lane change. Didn't see the cop behind me the WHOLE way.

He pulls me over asks for ID, insurance, etc....BUT I was so late I forgot my purse and wallet. I didn't think I had anything on me with my identity on it. BOOM! Then I remember I got a ticket the day before which was in my glovebox, I showed him my ticket, and he straight out LAUGHED at me! He told me to slow down and didn't issue me a ticket. hehehe!!

Speed odometers are not allways right, honda speed-o's also have a record of being wrong the faster you go.

I got a ticket for careless driving after hitting the back of a minivan....$120 ticket, insurance more than doubled. Thats what i get for being a 17 yr old guy i guess

I have no idea about your ticket, just sharing a story
You should have been put in jail.

careless/reckless driving tickets are no joke. I got one 2 years ago for doing donuts in the parking lot. It was like $300 and 2pts (should have been 4, but they reduced it).
well at least I'm not the only one... donuts last winter: 4 points, $113.50. But wait, what's this? When I went to get insurance on my sportbike, I looked over the papers the insurance agent handed me... one was my driving record: below the offense (my only one): "no points issued".... that threw me off, especially after getting the letter from penndot or whatever telling my about the points I was issued. And, no... my insurance didn't go up at all.

well ill watch for an insurance increase (hopefully not[8D]) and yes, i have done a driver school thing when i was 17, two years ago. I wanted to buy a old truck to haul around my quad, but im afraid now if i go for some insurance for such, they will see the ticket when they check!
