Give nice respectful domestic drivers like me a bad name. I love my car, but I consider it a rule of the road: Unless it is falling apart driving down the street then it deserves the same respect that you'd want for your car because somebody has put work into it to either buy it or mod it and that deserves R.E.S.P.E.C.T

I would like to show him that civics can keep up with Vettes Also IF I lost... the fact that I wouldnt be losing by much is more than enough to wipe a smile off a Vette owners face. Most domestic guys dont give us ricers enough credit. We go just as fast on less than half the displacement most times... often we have a quarter the displacement... how can they be proud of that?

Im a Ricer.... and I am proud of it... I think the domestic guys hate guys like me.... gawdy kit... blinky lights... moster tach, Altezza's etc.etc. They hate it even more when they lose. My BOV makes thier blood boil I can tell when they hear it and I love it ahah.

well, they have more displacement because they are driving full size cars, bit of a differance getting a 3500lb full interior transam down the track, then a stripped 2300lb hatch, its gonna need a bigger engine, plus a littel extra displacement helps to get them over the 1kbhp mark a little easier, not saying the little I6's cant

Rice is rice, import or domestic. Nothing sickens me more then seeing a "riced" out jbody, well a riced out F-body will kill me more

 

Well both have their advantages and dis-advantages. I will say this because I own both. My sedan was hitting 14 flat just .4 seconds slower than my F-Body but then again my F-Body is stock and the civic was far from it. To me though it is not about 1/4 mile times or hp/tq numbers it simply has to do with being a car guy/girl. You are one or you aint in my eyes. A true car enthusiest is going to admire and respect all cars based on there pro's and con's not on there make/model/year. I loved my civic with all my heart and I felt as if I lost a freind when I wrecked it being I did all the work myself on it but that does not make me dis-like my f-body anymore.

I will say this, be it a domestic driver/fan or a import driver/fan nobody needs to get cocky because it's people like me that will show you up simply to do it, not because I dont like your car but because it is the all around lack of respect for cars and people's tuning abilities that get me fired up. You show me a 10 second honda and are bashing on mitsu's and I will show you a 8 second evo........you show me a 8 second evo and are bashing on domestics and I will show you a 6 second f-body. It is that simple, I dont care what car you(not directed at anyone) are pushing, people need not be cocky because 9 out of 10 times there is something faster on the drag track, faster on the road course, or faster on the street than you will ever be and guess what it is not allways going to be your favorite kind of car.

I want to make it a point to say I am not calling anyone out with this post, if anyone feels offended by it then I am sorry but it is how I fell. People need to stop hating on eachother and band together. It's not going to be long before we go from battling eachother to battling government regulations to be able to even keep our hobby.
