I can understand that people make mistakes, we are human and nobody is perfect. However, when most people make a mistake, they acknowledge it an apologize. This president and this administration refuses to acknowledge that they have ever made a mistake (I'm not talking about Iraq exclusivly here). If Bush apologized for his mistakes, I would have much more respect for him. The argument that "You can't do any better" is very flawed. Whether or not I can do a better job is irrelevent. I did not tell the American people that I could do the job. I didn't apply to be President. I didn't tell people that I was the best person for the job. George W. Bush told the American people that he was the best person for the job, twice. The fact of the matter is the Bush screwed up big time and he refuses to accept responsibility. Furthermore, the American people do not hold his feet the fire. Sitting around and saying "you couldn't do a better job" does not help anyone.

 

Typical right wing ploy: Attack the messenger. Thanks for the threat, Forty04. I'm surprised they let such opinionated people be an Administrator here. You're right about one thing though, being older does not make me smarter, but it does mean I have had more time to think things through.
