thought it would be a fun idea to have a vacation thread.

My girlfriend and I are staying with her grandparents in Soldotna Alaska till the 10th. This is the guest house we have to ourselves next to their cabin.

a couple days ago we went Halibut fishing off the coast near Homer, was my first time fishing since i was 12.

This was the biggest of the day, she got four of the 8 fish limit for the boat. (she didnt want me to post the pic cause her face is scrunched)

Havnt done much else except relax, but its still nice. I've seen 10 or 12 moose, an orca whale, sea otters, and mountain goats. no grizzly bear yet though.

They have a burger here at McDonalds called the Mt McKinley Mac, its a big mac but for a dollar more they use 2 quarter pounders, its ****ing huge, and there is a promotion where u get a free coke glass to boot.


Oh yeah, her grandparents have an H2 that they let us drive, its pretty badass, feels like a tank. Its ugly yellow though. I am not a truck man, I like driving my lill ol' civic better, but its an experience.
