so.. since everyone here is about 20 billion times nicer than the vast majority of other message board junkies..
I figured I'd ask... how would you / did you get engaged?

I work at a news station, and so of course everyone is all "man! make a news package and propose on air.."
...ehh...

I was thinkin' of going to one of those kiln/paint your own glass or ceramic places..
you know, make a plate that says "marry me" or wtf ever..

....then go to some super fancy restaurant and have em swap out the plate of food for mine..
then like, maybe go the extra mile and set up a few cameras.. totally get the whole thing for our wedding video.......?

Sounds like youve got some good ideas.

DO hidden cameras tho. If she turns your down......Then you can send the video to Americas Funniest Home Videos and maybe win 10k bucks.

 

make the plate, then go to a resturant and have them serve her, her favorite desert at teh same time the message comes on TV

 

my wife proposed to me.............seriously. then i told her only if she bought me a new tc car. you should have seen the look on her face hahaha needless to say were married and that rc truck is broke..

Mine, for instance, would have been mortified if I made a big traditional scene at a restaurant and doesn't like surprises; so I planned a big romantic evening and then asked her at home over a bottle of wine.

I would have prefered something fun/funny/memorable, but it wasn't about me.
