I couldn't think of an appropriate name for this thread... So that's the closest I could come.
I was looking at my old posts from 2007/2008... I feel like I was such a stupid kid with some of the questions I asked, and the 'mods' I wanted to do. LED clusters and painted interior on a rustbucket... I'm shocked nobody called me rice, because that's exactly what I was headed towards. And Google wasn't my friend back then apparently. Such simple questions.

I look at my goals now, and I see realism in them. Makes me happy.
Just wanted to share my thoughts on this... Haha...

 

Everyone has to start somewhere, my early posts probably aren't much better, haha.

We try to be tolerable with the newbs and their "goals," you must have caught us on a good day

 

Most of us went through the LED phase. It's forgivable. I did too. You should have seen my old rice bucket 92..

 

I really need to find pics of my 93 Civic I had back when I was 16/17. You guys would LOL hard.

 

I went through the ricer "Fast and Furious" stage, but thank GOD I had no money at the time. That and back then i knew nothing about cars (and it was technically my parents), so I was scared to do anything to it lol.

Not to mention my posting habits when I first joined. I did a search looking for my old civic project the other night and was ashamed at how I posted... stupid questions, excessive use of the term "lol", etc. Both things (rice and general n00b-ishness) get better with age though.

 

I'm a ricer now and back then, nothing new with me

But I guess I'm still relatively new to this forum

 

For the record, I never actually had a ricey car. However, that was due only to the fact that I didn't own anything worth modding when I was 16-18 years old.

I was going through some things in my storage room not long ago, and found a list that I had compiled when I was probably 15ish. It was a "What I'm going to do to my Honda Civic when I finally get one!" list. Basically, I went through a J.C. Whitney catalog noting everyhting I wanted to put on my Civic "someday." Thank god I had no money and no civic...
