Been looking for a new heavy metal band for some time now. Forty04 and Fiirkan told me about In Flames a couple of weeks ago and since then ive been looking everywhere to purchase a cd. Went to every single major record store in my area and none of them had anything. Finally decided to bite the bullet and go to Orbit, even though they usually are the most expensive place to buy from. Bought the deluxe colony cd and what can i say, IN FLAMES IS AWESOME. [sm=rockinit.gif][sm=rockinit.gif][sm=rockinit.gif][sm=rockinit.gif][sm=rockinit.gif]The guitar riffs are out of this world and dont get me started on the melodic screams that raise deep from the lungs. In Flames is definitely a band to look into if you love head banging to hard heavy metal. They are in my top 10 favorite bands now.

 

right on man! Glad you like them. I was the same way, never even heard of them until a friend popped a cd in at one of my house parties. I've been hooked ever since.


btw, They're headlining their own U.S. Tour right now. I'll be seeing them in Detriot February 10th at Harpo's. I HIGHLY recommend you catch them live. I saw them at Ozzfest, and even tho they were only allowed to play 5 songs, and I was nearly 300 feet from the stage, they still ****ing rocked ten times harder then almost all the other bands there.

has anyone hear heard of Into Eternity? they kinda sound like a mix between System of a Down and Shadows Fall with a little Lamb of God and Amon Amarth thrown in. their vocalist sounds a LOT like Darron Malakian (the SOAD guitarist who doubles as a vocalist)...enough so to the point where when i showed my sister an into eternity song she thought it was an unreleased SOAD song that shed never heard before. yeah..theyre pretty sweet.
