I just paid my first payment on the 2008 honda fit. I no longer drive the 97 civic. I know some people don't like the fit but i'm very happy with it.
Congrats. It's not that it's a bad car. It's probably one of the best semi-sporty econo-cars currently offered. It just doesn't seem to really be any more "economical" to operate than the bigger and brawnier Civic (that could be had for the same payment by just putting a few thousand $$ more down). My sisters get over 30MPG with their V6/roomy Altima and Impala SS sedans, while having over twice the power of a Fit. Honda should be easily pulling over 40MPG out of these little cars by now, IMO.

Other than that, it seems much better than the Toyota, Nissan, Kia, or Hyundai econo-compacts offered here. The American offerings don't seem to quite get things right. The Yaris is the only one that even seems to be in the same ballpark for quality, sportiness, and economy combined.

I haven't had any problems with it yet.
I would sure as heck hope not! We aren't living in Cold War-era USSR or something. That sucker should be perfect.

I am love my little car.
That's what's most important when you own an affordable and sensible car...that it pleases YOU for your money. I wouldn't own something like a new Buick, Merc, or Olds if I won it in a contest. I'd sell it to buy something sportier, more reliable, and/or better on gas...maybe a used Honda EX 4dr and a DR650/DR-Z400.

It's a 5 speed so if deffentaly like that better than the automatic that i came from.
As long as you're fine driving it in your busiest traffic, a decent manual can make a sporty car feel SO much better when it's playtime.
