Default Whew

I had XP home edition on my notebook which was the most unstable POS O.S. I have ever had... idiot proof, easy to use, easy on the eyes, but unstable and annoying. Now im running Windows 2000 NT Pro WHOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!! . Now My shizzle runs without bells and whistles and my notebook has been faster than when I pulled it out of the dell box a year ago!!! I will switch to XP Pro for now, Im cool for now.

2000 pro and xp pro are actually the same thing really, xp pro has a little bit more features and in a nut shell, xp pro is prettier. But man, it is so nice to be speeding around on the net again. I used to have to go in safe mode on my XP to surf somewhat fast, because my damn computer was LLLLOOOOAAADDDEEEDDDD with bugs. THere is a point where you just cant get everything out... or it will take you a while. It is sad and a shame that some of us have to reformat our harddrive just to get a fresh start... all of this crap floating around on the net is pathetic.

A format every few months is good. But if its maintanied proply u will only need to format it once a year. Run defrag, adaware and chkdsk every month. Works for me. As for Windows XP Media Centre is damn fast. Now with SP2 it runs as sweet as a nut. Never had any problems and there is neva any slow down on the net or any program other than my 3D design packages which us a hell of a lot of system resource.
Anyway any questions give us a shoot.

The reason it was so unstable is because it was installed from the factory with all the extra Dell B.S.

Well, the only thing I miss about it is that "play all" feature in the side task bar in the music file section. Dell only does that so they can sell home computers for cheaper
