I need a tatoo that says "I know more than you." why must people always try to BS me when it comes to cars? i was getting my tires installed yesterday, and this asian dude started talking to me about my car, then he said he used to have a 95 hatch with an ITR motor. ok, that could be true. but then he said he was running 13s. hmmm, ok, maybe. not stock, but it could be done. but then he had to bury himself and say that when he stripped it, he ran 11s....... what the hell? how much did he strip? Geez, when we stripped EVERYTHING from my bros SI, it went from a 14.4 to a 14.2. sure, the clutch was slipping a little the second time, but even take off another .2-.3 for that. we still only gained about half a seond for it. and thats mid 14s, going to low 14. this guy expects me to believe that he stripped his hatch enough to take off well over a full second? already at 13s? come-on. and it was an SI hatch, which is a bit of a porker anyway. a cx, he may have hit the 13s, but i'm not seeing it in an SI.


oh yeah, a bit off topic, but speaking of CX hatches. this poor older guy (40ish) pulled up next to me at a light, and i could tell he was getting ready to take off, soi roll off the line nice and easy, then when he guns it, i stomped on the gas, spinning the tires (this was right before i got the new ones installed, so they spun really easy.) and in like half a second, i was a car and a half in front of him. so i let off. it was funny as hell, all i had to do was floor it, and i won. i didnt even have to redline it and i was far enough ahead of him that there was no argueing that i won. poor guy, he wasnt even a car guy, he just thouight "oh, a red civic, im gonna take off and see what happens." hehe. i almost felt bad. almost.

 

Hehehe, don't do that to the old guy.. You should have let him win. You are mean some times, you know that? Really ev0uhl I must say.

i lose sometimes too. i just suck it up and put another mod on my car. then i wont lose the next time. i lost plenty of races with the d15. now Karmas on my side.

i usually dont get pissed about the old guys... its the people in minivans... they suck

 

eh, it wasnt even a race. i didnt even accelerate past about 35-40. i dont street race much at all. it got old. all i ever do is the low-risk, high reward races like bragging rights on a porsche or a nice beamer, and the quick kills. but im getting better about giving up the high end cars and just letting them go away. it isnt worth it anymore.

 

its still hard not to rev on vette or some big v8 when i pull up next to them. i love the look on their face when i pull away. but i gotta quit racing before i get in trouble
