I thought looking at the last 7 days (he said this was a recent problem with the conflict), would give us a feel for what the traffic has been since all the "problems" started.
It's always best to look at the past and the present, prior to making predictions of the future.

I guess the bottom line is that it would be great if we could all just "get along", but I bet you would find that if we did, this site or any site for that matter would have Prolly 50% less post and page views, and that people wouldn't anticipate what a response has been to a comment made.

NOW with that being said people need to use common sense, and not stir stuff up or get under peoples skins in threads that should be left alone. For example I wouldn't ever log on to thread about BRAKES and tell some person that the last thing a 4 banger needs to worry about is stopping. A thread asking for tech advice simply should remain that and nothing more, NOW if on the other hand we have a thread about a Honda Civic eating a Supra alive from a 60 mph roll, I am going to chime in and pull out the BS flag.
I love nothing more to be in one thread helping someone with advice, or being helped with advice, and AT THE VERY SAME TIME in another "off topic" style thread to be calling that person a F#C%TARD for some stupid comment they made.

Getting "along" doesn't SELL. It really doesn't.
Look at our culture today, via or TV programs. What are all the rage? Reality shows. Take a Homosexual-n-Homophobe, a hick-n-gang banger,a *****-n-Amish chick,a rocker-n-country western fan,a ricer -n-muscle car driver, and lock them into a house for a month, and WATCH ON TV what happens. They argue like he11, and America tunes in. Coke vs Pepsi, MCD's vs Burger King, AFC vs NFC, Vette vs Viper, Civic vs errrrrrrrrrrrrr ummmmmmmmm WELL YOU GET MY POINT!
It has always been this way. Everyone loves a train wreck. Shoot look at 60's TV. Take Eddie Haskell off of the Leave it to Beaver show and you have taken away 2/3 of the plots.
Look at this forums most popular threads. The threads with the most looks are the threads where there is conflict.
Take away CONFLICT from this world, and you are left with milk toast.
People simply need to understand to be able to judge comments made on this forum based upon the COMMENTS made rather then the people who are MAKING the comments. I often find that people jump in and take a side simply because they feel they should, rather then to read the comments made and the context in which they were made.

I hasve been noticing the last couple of weeks that alot of ppl have just started bickering and fighting over little petty stuff!!! I think we all need to remember what kind of place this is. This place is for ppl to talk about off the wall things on this thread such as this, and for plpl to help sell things or find things they need or even get help for technical problems. Now ppl i love this website this is probably the longest i have ever visited a website in the past (besides hotmail). but i thkn if something doesn't happen then this pllace might wind up getting shut down. and i really would like to be able to visit this website for many years to come and hey maybe one of these days we can tell our kidds about this great website we used to visit when we were in college!! and the cars we used to drive!!! I will have pics!!! lol i know lalot of you will too. but seriously ppl can we all just get along? I mean seriously i think it is srort of childish. so can we all make some promises that we will
1. try to hold outr tongues(or rather our fingers)
2 just let the things ppl sasy just rool off of our back(like water off a ducks back)
3. just all of us get along

IMHO that was very well said, I also know that there has to be somewhat of a debate on a open forum like this. The key is to not take it so far as to resort to personal attacks. I for one do not understand how anything anyone says on a online forum can and does get under anyones skin because it aint like the person on the other end has any real bearring on your life what-so ever.
It is kinda like another thread on here at this very time. Me and Patrick are debating a Z06's abilities, do I hate Patrick for his veiws against the Z06 even though I am a avid F-Body and GM fan......no. Do i think any less of him for his opinion.....no. We are adults coming from 2 different past with different opinions on the matter, so what I am willing to listen to his points and I am hoping he is willing to listen to mine. see that is how it works, you dont have to agree with the person but one thing I allways try to do is respect the other persons opinion.

All in all, what makes this forum different from others is because its more of a community than just 'message board'. I gaurantee you that Patrick has no interest in a civic whatsoever. He basically comes here more often than he does his other 44 (minus the dodge forum) forums because it interests him more than they do.

Being of a diverse background, members are likely to express different opinions, and while opinions may differ from yours, they are just that, opinions; and everyone is entitled to express theirs freely. We will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, or personal attacks. Do not flame, bother, bug, disrespect, hound or taunt ANYONE on the forums or through private messaging or chat room. If we feel a thread is getting out of hand we will close or delete it. You can/will lose your posting privileges if you continue this type of behavior.
