thats just how it is. 99% of the time one someone rearends someone else the one who was in back is at fault. the only way you can not be at fault is if the people in front of you had their tails not working..and about 50% of the time theres no way to prove it if they werent. like Agent said, keeping your following distance is crucial unless you want this to happen to you.

 

i know how you feel, today i was going to pick a freind up from work, i was on a one way, obaying the laws, and this douche bag ran a F**KING stop sign, and i slammed on my brakes, slid PAST him(thank god he slowed down), hopped a curb, and stopped less then 6 inches from a big A$$ tree...i made suree my car was fine, the fa*git took off, so i followed him, he never stopped, so i finish picking my friend up, and get a call from the po-po...sum lady got my tag # and not his[:@]...

anywho, SORRY for the thread jackm wont happen again, hope everything goes ok in court bro...

theres a lot of people getting into accidents latly! maybe i should keep the civic in the garage for a while[&:]

 

thats soooo ****ty..in the winter i always stay sooo far away from the person, and i never get to close in the summer, because i no that if i hit them because they do somthing stupid, im at fault...i would of got the guys name and number that you were following right away

 

Well, this is just driving survival basics: no matter what happens, YOU are responsible for the distance between your car and a car in front of you, because the other driver just do not have any control over it. The only exception is when someone cuts in front of you.
You are lucky, nobody got injured or killed, so go ahead and just pay your fine, and try hard to remember this leeson - it can save your life down the road.

just a quick update i went to see my car and the front bumper and grill r off. the hood is still on but i guess they havent gotn the new one yet. im gueesing ill get it back some time by the end of this week hopefully. not yet sure about my court date but everything seems to b going along ok. hopefuly ill get my car back in better condition thn BEFRORE i wrecked it.
