and... civic4ever: They only use one set of tires per race. They have four sets per weekend though for practice, qualifying and the race.

 

if you think about it 1000bhp is way more phenominal than you may initally think...cuz i know theres home built track cars running 7s producing almost 1500...but 1000bhp on an F1 is N/A. i dont remember what the CRs are on an F1 engine...but i know the plugs have to be specially designed cuz they CR is high enough that they cant have the grounding prong protruding into the combustion chamber.
