Default '01 Brake clicking... serious or no?

I did a search and I came across a lot of sounds such as "clunk" "thump" "knock" and "scrape"... but I am having a different issue. When braking lightly, I get a clicking noise that starts off fast and spaces out further as the car stops. So it goes from a fast click click click.. to a click...click.........click...................clic k until I stop fully. What could be the issue and should I really worry about it? My brake power has no suffered since I have noticed this just fyi in case that may matter.

Brake pads are wearing thin or unevenly, what your hearing is the metal tab that scrapes your rotor telling you your pads are getting thin. So before you pads are gone and your grinding metal calipers on rotors, have your pads replaced and your rotors turned at a brake shop. probably 150$ job... or replace the rotors to drilled/slotted and new metallic pads from ebay for about the same price and DIY. Not too tough. GL

alright thats not bad at all. I usually have my uncle do my car work with me there so I am learning. The brake pads were probably really cheap since they were from the dealership when I bought the car.
