Default 01 civic , bad strut mounts

i have pictures here of my front upper shock mounts. the drivers side is starting to crack in the rubber, all the way around the bottom of the center nut. and the passengers side is blown straight threw, and i can wiggle it around when jacked up. i was wondering if this is a common problem? Has anyone had this issue before? Is it a pain to replace if i have the spring compressor?the first picture is the drivers side(only cracked).and the second picture is the (broken) passenger side. thanks

Those are not hard to replace, if the nut is not rusted on. If you can't get the nut off you'll have to replace the strut also. You might consider buying a pair of "loaded struts" and replace everything as a unit.

The struts are not that old. Hopefully I can get it out easy. Thanks for the info.
