Default 02 Civic LX Keyless Entry

I have read around the forum a bit, and it seems that my car might possibly have a keyless entry control unit installed factory. Is this a true statement, that I only have to buy just the remote and program it? Any help would really be appreciated.

Not sure. Look for the receiver unit:

If your car is equipped with the keyless entry system
then you you just need to buy a honda remote
with the correct numbers matching to the system, year, and model of your vehicle

Will the control unit be like.. labeled under the dash? And the only remotes I can find are on ebay, and I dont know if they are specific, they seem to be universal, as long as theyre programmed correctly.

I am not sure that the receiver control unit is labeled as such. Once you pull the radio out, the control unit should be visible, if you have one. It will look like the unit in the illustration above and will have a 5P connector attached to it.
