Default 04 Hybrid Battery Issues

My roomate has a 2004 Hybrid. He went out to start it this morning and the battery was totally dead. No accessories were left on, and this isn't the first time this has happened. When his dad drove it, it would randomly do this. His dad would always jump it off, drive it for a little then it would be fine for a while.

I know these cars don't have alternators, they charge off the energy when you come to a stop. What should I do to begin troubleshooting this issue?

I've never worked on Honda's before, just my Audi. I know on my Audi I'd hook up my VAG-COM and it'd tell me all the massive number of things that were wrong and what to fix. Does Honda have something similar? How can I troubleshoot this without a Honda scanner?

Default RE: 04 Hybrid Battery Issues

Someone suggested it may be a sticky relay on the radiator fan causing it to run non-stop until the battery. Where is this relay and how can I check it? He said he noticed the fan has been running alot after he turns it off, which is sometimes normal but I wouldn't imagine is always normal.

Check in the engine bay for the fuses and relay's, there should be a removeable top that covers and lists what it contains....
