Default '05 civic ex "SRS" light came on today!

My '05 Civic's "SRS" light came on today, while driving. I plugged in my OBD II scanner and there are no codes found. So I tried disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes, as suggested in an old post, but that didn't do anything. Any other suggestions before I go to the "Stealer", I mean "Dealer", tomorrow?

I'll bet the first thing they check is for high battery voltage (above 15.2V), This was somewhat common with older Hondas but as in your case, it sets no codes.

Another possibility is the connector under the seat coming unplugged.

So I took care of the problem myself. Dealer wanted me to make an app't and bring it in but I didn't want to look at that stupid light on all the time. I googled the problem and found a youtube post that showed how to jump the SRS plug on the fuse block to turn off the light. I did that yesterday and the light hasn't come back on, yet, so I guess there wasn't really a problem in the first place. Dealer tech said it sometimes comes on and there isn't a problem to start with.

Just to update anyone who's read this post, the light came back on about a week after I turned it off, so I made an appt. with the dealer. Took it in and they checked it and it's a code 9-3. That meant the driver's seat buckle is bad. They're replacing it next week. This is in an 05 Civic and all seatbelt problems have a lifetime warranty that covers parts and labor. The whole thing will only cost me my time, no $$$$$.
