1.6L to 1.5L Swap into an Si...Need HELP!!
I have a 91 Honda Civic Si. Im just trying to get it running right now while i rebuild and beef up the 1.6 but for now im putting in a 1.5 for driving purposes. anyways ive almost got it done but the pgmfi on the 1.5 only has two injectors where as the 1.6 has four!!! so obviously the harness is different! does anybody know where I should go from here? by the way i have both pgfmi from the 1.5 and 1.6 so can i just take the 1.6 harness and put it on the 1.5 motor or?? thank you very much for any help
this is a website http://rywire.com/store/-c-27_38.htm...d128e0bd1a6ce7 TRUST ME have them do it for you doing it yourself is a bad plan but if you want to go that route let me know i have diagrams and such because my 90 civic is rewired to mpfi
I would just do the MPFI swap if you already have it wired for that.
im pretty sure if just put the MPFI manifold on the d15 engine and plug and go it will work fine. And you will be adding like 10-15 hp from the DPFI manifold.
Either manifold should work. I know when people do MPFI swaps they get them off the SI engine so that one should work fine...

I'm thinking like Hailchristian said, put in the 1.5 block and head but keep the manifolds and the rest of the car from the 1.6, since you're going to put that one back in someday anyway. Should run OK, the ECU will think it's a 1.6 instead of a 1.5 but that may not be a big problem unless you need to pass a smog check.
ok i got the engine to run with the 1.6 manifold and harness that was originally on the car, the block is a 90' 1.5 and the distributor is a (1.5 88' crx mpfi distributor)thats all i had.The si was missing the distributor and the 1.5 i swapped in had thedual point distributor with different harness connections. the book has different ohm ranges for the coils 88'-89', and 90'-91'. i dont know if there is a problem there because it runs with this distributor, just wont start without jumpering 12v. to starter solenoid.I dont want to have to run around popping the hood and jumping it with a remote starter everytime i stall it.
thanks guys for any help
