Default 1989 Civic (CRX) intermittent power loss no start when turning key

A 1989 CRX with unknown mileage intermittently fails to start when turning the key to start/crank position. Radio lights will dim as though the battery was dead, but upon turning the key to run/crank/run/crank etc several times it will light up with fast cranking which tells me the battery is fine. Question: What is more likely do y'all think? Questionable ground/connections or ignition switch? Any help appreciated.
