Please help ! 1989 civic 1500 cc Main Relay clicking car wont start. Replaced relay,#1 Plug getting plenty of fire ,.Smell gas if that means anything ,Tried 2 other distributors from salvage but what are the odds on three being bad ,changed battery groung wire, Still nothing. Prob started when we changed starter because it was going out. Any ideas what prob could be ? Just about had it. Would really appreciate any help . Thanks

 

Is the ECU LED blinking a code?

Is the engine timed to specification? Might the timing belt have slipped?

To rule out the fuel system, you should measure the fuel pressure:

 

No code but will do fuel test and take timing belt cover off to take a look . Thanks for the tip.

 

oh did think about the timing issue but I dont think that would have anything to do with the relay clicking would it?
