1990 Civic DX tach-adaptable?
Hey; I'm new to the Honda world as of today. I bought a 1990 Honda Civic DX; it's a 4-door sedan with a 1.5L gas [ugh] motor, and a 5-speed manual transmission. The stock gauge cluster does not have a tach in it, and I'm one of those tach-happy types. I hate the look of aftermarket gauges, so I was wondering whether I can swap a gauge cluster from a different trim level (SX? EX?) '90 Civic? What I mean is, is it plug-and-play? (is the car pre-wired for a tach? or do I need to wire up some sort of sensor?)
I've always owned diesels, and so I have no clue how tachs work on gassers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
