1990 civic engine stalls when letting clutch out
I just bought this car.I replaced plugs fuel filter timming belt.timming is right on car runs great otherwise.there is no engine codes or at least the check engine light don,t come on, but the car did sit for I think about a year.kind of stumped please help.
What do you mean when you say that the car runs fine otherwise? Does the engine have a steady and correct idle speed and run without misfiring at higher rpm?
You might want to test whether the fuel pressure is low and also whether the air filter/air intake system is clogged.
Also check whether the ECU LED is blinking any codes:

^? dito... you sure your just killing it in 1st cause your not giving it enough gas?[8D]
just sounds like to me that you need to do more practice in 1st gear geting moving....
anyones that started driving a manual knows it takes practice. hell i still give my dam car to much gas MOST the time..... but burning the clutch alittle isnt as anoying as killing the motor and looking like a huge retard in traffic. LMFAO
