Default 1991 Civc Hatchback base, no spark

ive been trying to diagnose why my car has no spark, I was lead to believe that the icm was bad, so I decided to try replacing it. When I was removingthe old ICM, I realized that in the video I was watching a ground was screwed on ground as well as the 4 normal wire connections, and my car has only 4 wires and no ground anywhere to be seen.

can someone either confirm or deny that there is supposed to be a ground screwed onto the ICM of a 1991 civic hatch base?? (D15b1 I believe)

thanks a lot, I can put pictures of needed.

seems like a very simple request but i cant find any information for you besides this
https://redirect.viglink.com/?format...tion_tests.pdf
possibly looked at on a larger computer screen you might be able to see some information. it also lists a testing method.

That document looks like it might have the information I was looking for, but is for the generation of civic just after mine and the distributor/ ICM are slightly different on my car.

Should i post some pictures to try and clear things up?

OLD ICM

OLD ICM

it is indeed a four prong ICM, but when i went to follow the steps for testing the ICM from the document you provided, i noticed that the wires are different colors. (from left prong to the left prong) the colorsare solid white, black with a yellow stripe, white with a green stripe and a solid green wire. would you happen to have a testing procedure like this for the 88-91 year models??

ill do some more digging your icm is 86-93/94. 94 started using a different p/n but looks identical probably the same wiring too since 93 and 94 both show both p/n listed. 95-2000 only list the newer p/n.
