1991 Civic Fuse panel question...
I am looking at my fuse panel and have fuses in almost every slot, though the diagram has some blanks.
I know the #3 slot is for cars that have electric door locks, but what are the #7, #9, and #16 slots for (which have fuses for some reason)
This car has no amenities - ie no door locks, sunroof, power windows, nothing of the sort.
Can someone tell me why there might be fuses in those slots or what the slots are supposed to be for?
The whole reason I'm looking through my fuse panel is that my car's battery drains when it is sitting, I have to pull the battery terminal off every time I park it for more than 8 hours, COULD fuses in these slots have something to do with it?
Thanks all!

Was the car made for the Canada market?
16 = daylight running lights
You have a parasitic drain. Disconnect the battery ground wire and measure the milliamps (mA) produced from the negative battery post to body ground. It should not exceed 25-50 mA. If it does, remove fuses one at a time until the drain disappears. This will pinpoint the source of the drain.

Check the dome light and the light in the trunk or hatch area, those staying on with the doors closed are common causes of drain. If the light is already warm when you open the trunk, it isn't turning off. Make sure the brake lights stay out when the brake pedal is not pressed. If you have a stereo system with separate amplifiers, make sure the amplifiers are turning off.
Putting fuses in the slots for options you don't have won't affect anything. The other side of the fuse has nothing connected to it.
