My 92 LX has a noise coming from the tranny that sounds like a hissing sound. When in neutral it makes this sound, but when it press in the clutch the hissing noise goues away. A friend told me it's not the clutch but maybe something inside the tranny. Has anyone come across this sound? And if it comes to having to replace the tranny, how much do you think it would cost? Would a used tranny do also? Thanks for your help. Tony.
