Default 1994 Civic Starting Problems

All,

I hope you can help me. When starting my Civic today, it would not turn over, from what I know the starter sounded fine, and as it usually does before turning over. It took me six times turning the key before the engine turned on. After driving for 6 miles I stopped and turned the car off, and it turned on fine after that. Then after letting the car sit for 8 hours, it did the same thing again, and didn't want to turn over. From the sound, it sounds like the iginition and starter are fine but what do I know.

Your help is appreciated.

R.

I'm confused. If the engine doesn't turn over, it could be the starter. If it turns over, but doesn't start, it could be the ignition system, a fuel line issue, or the main relay.

Check your distributor along with the other things kinosh mentioned. Good luck.

when one says that it turns over, that means that the starter and battery are good and the engine is cranking
