Hi all. I have a 97 Civic Ex 2 Dr. that's acting a little strange, although deservedly so. My street tends to flood during heavy rain, and yesterday we got a ton. I drive through my street when flooded on a regular basis, but yesterday it must have been worse. I had steam coming from under the hood when i got through, so I turned the car off and let it be. Upon getting in this morning, all was normal until I got on the highway, when I hit about 80 the CEL came on. Any ideas? The engine idles very roughly and acceleration is beyond sluggish from a dead stop. Any help would be great.

- And I know driving through water isn't very bright, no need to tell me. haha

 

Pull the CEL code and post it here. It'll make diagnosing a lot easier.
