got a 95 civic ex 1.6 v-tec. recently did alot of driving in the rain after everything dried out my car sounds terrible on accel and at idle. first thought the belts were slipping tried that still nothing. noise is coming from that area, any thoughts?

 

what kind of noise does it sound like.

 

like an over rated intake/ grinding noise. could be a bearing going bad?

 

i always heard my bearing make a knocking or ticking sounds when they go bad usually. would u think the grind is the cam shaft going bad.
