Default 1997 civic ex problems please help

1997 civic ex will die if gas pedal pressed fast wont if pressed slow
I have a 1997 civic ex d16y7 I am having problems
The car randomly died on me and after that it would not start at all
We towed it home and got it started but when i press the gas pedal and make it higher rpm in nuetral it would die and if i press the pedal down slowly it would let me bring the rpm up all the way without dying. BY THE WAY THERE WAS NO CODES AT ALL TILL I PUT NEW TPS IN. then my neighbor looked at it we then tested some stuff;
All plugs had spark compression each cylinder was fine we then changed the fuel pump
And then replaced the throttle position sensor I haven't clocked the tps yet because I need to borrow a multimeter . I need help I don't know what is causing this , can it be the tps needing to be clocked or what?

If you can get those codes read it may be very helpful.

The next thing I can suggest is to test the Crankshaft and Camshaft position sensors.

Also was the fuel filter changed when you replaced the fuel pump?

The thing is that the code was triggered when I changed the tps but now that I clocked it it has no codes.
And yes the fuel filter was also changed.
