I have a 1999 Honda Civic LX. My stereo was stolen and I re-installed the factory CD/FM/AM stereo. Does anyone know if a 1996 civic tape deck will work in my car? I have a hole under my stereo right now that I want to fill.

 

Doubtful. The dashes for the 99's are different from the 96. If you google image 99 Civic Lx Dash and then 96 Civic Dash you can see the difference.

If you're putting in the factory stereo, there shouldn't be a gap.

 

I don't believe both the tape deck and the cd player will fit in there.

 

I know that the tape and cd player will fit but I am concerned how they connect and operate? Any ideas?!?
