Default 2 questions, windows & scv

Hi i have an ej8 civic coupe (pics when i get time!) i need a new mechanism for my drivers window as it has sheered inside and wont go all the way up! There is a 3 door eg at my local salvage yard, wondering if that would fit?

Also a friend has a single cam v-tech engine, D16y8? is it possible to put the head of that on my non v-tech ej coupe, i think its the same block?

any help with this would be greatly appreciated

thanks shay

yes your friends d16y8 head will fit on your block and just get a vtec ecu and wire it up yourself.. you will also need a vtec wire harness to cut. you need the vtec plugs from it.
and i also believe you will need to add a knock sensor. i doubt the eg window stuff will fit your ej.

I wouldn't mess with a used window regulator; they're not very durable in the first place. Buy a new one.
