2 rubber tranny fluid line leaking- have to drain fluid?
Anyone know if one has to drain the fluid to change one of the tranny fluid cooling lines (title says 2 lines, but only one is leaking/bad)- the one closer to the passenger side (shorter one). Its oozing fluid, and its time to put in new.
Thanks, people.

I don't think you would, especially if you drive up on ramps or otherwise raise just the front of the car so that it is tilted back. Of course the fluid that is in the lines and the cooler is going to come out so you will need to top up.

Yes there is a separate compartment inside the radiator. The hot transmission fluid passes heat through the walls of that compartment to the relatively cool coolant in the bottom compartment of the radiator. The coolant in the bottom of the radiator is relatively cool as it is on its way back to the engine.
