ok my car would sometimes idle between 300-1000k when i come to a stop. most of the time it idles at around 1k. when it gets to the lower rpms it sounds and feels like the car is going to die. i would like to know what is causing the problem and how to fix it on my own i would appreciate any helpful comments.

 

Start by cleaning out the IACV (EACV). If it's a manual EX it's on the back of the intake manifold, if automatic it's on the bottom of the throttle body.
