Default 2000 Civic Owners...I have a problem?!?!?!?!

Ok, I have a 2000 Civic LX Sedan. I have a problem with my cruise control cutting off if I turn on my lights(parking or headlights), also if my cruise control is on and then I turn my lights on it cuts off. It has just the basic bolt-ons, nothing major. Also I just started to notice that if I have my door open and step on the brake the buzzer goes off(the one that goes beep, beep, beep, like when you leave your lights on), but instead it just a solid beep. If anyone has a 2000 civic lx try doing that and tell me if it happens on yours because I never noticed it before so I think it just started. It must be something electrical and that is not my thing. Anyways sorry for the length of the thread. I don't know if anyone has had this problem or not but any help would be good.
THX

Default RE: Electrical/Cruise control problem?!?!?!?!

I once saw a similar problem where the CC worked just fine until one day by flipping the left turn signal on would kick the CC off. It turned out that the left rear turn signal light was burnt out. By replacing the bulb fixed the problem.

The point – electrical problems can be very weird and without having hands on will be hard to solve.

I am guessing that this is an aftermarket CC.

The first thing that I would do is check for all lights to be in good working order. If so, then I would connect the power of the CC straight to the battery and see if your problem is still there.

Alright I'll check the lights, and it is factory CC.

Also When I turn on the lights it makes my transmission screw up. If I'm stopped and go to take off it lags like it's in 3rd gear or something for about 3 seconds then goes regular.

Thanx 99civic, it was just a bulb out. I can't believe one bulb out and it screws up everything. I guess they want you to know when one blows.
